Dayo na sa Elementalia gamit ang Fedora
Filipino based animation studio namely Cutting Edge Productions will be joining the Manila Film Festival this year for its all-digital full-length animation film called Dayo. This movie will make every Filipino proud. Cutting Edge Productions made the movie with a powerhouse of equipments and technology. One of them are Wacom Cintiq equipped with the power of Mac. But what's really interesting is that, they also used Fedora (a linux distribution) spiced with some Toon Boom Products for rendering (maybe ;P) and compositing (maybe again xD). Just take a look at the photos.
Some of the well known bloggers were invited to have a sneak peak into the movie. I have .00000001percent of joining them, but I didn't bother anymore ;p. I just took out my surfing capabilities in Flickr xD. I'm so glad that FlairCandy.com posted all the photos she had in their tour. woot!
So what do think? Is the reason about reducing cost or more on the work flow side?
