Exist Code Camp + Draft Pick = Fun

Last Saturday I joined the Exist Code Camp exam that was held in Ateneo De Davao University. I really enjoyed taking the exam, it was a mix of an aptitude tests, lots of programming related stuff, and lovely database queries. I also enjoyed watching my friends noses bleed, drooling it all over in the floor, hehe. I almost forgot my mothers name after I finished answering question number one, O.O roar . To cut it short, the exam was really challenging. I really recommend everyone to take part on this exam.

Before anything else, or before anyone yells at me like "Hey, wanna be software engineer! Go back to your design career!", lol. I'm actually a so&so developer back then when I was a student. I do a lot of C/C++ and Java. I even wrote a one mb, one file, one amazing project, :P .  I'm an awesome student back then (I repeat, back then), maybe because I didn't meet friendly Google and Copy/Paste, but anyway, thanks to these two guys that I learned to fasten my programming work-flow like Google Search > Middle Clicks (open tabs) > Copy Paste > Submit to teacher > 100% passing grade! Yay!

Let's go back in serious mode. Back then, I'm very inspired to to code and generate algorithms. I love programming. I even looked at myself being a successful software developer back then. It was really good old times for me. And even now, I'm still intact with cool guys like Ruby on Rails and Django. I still love programming and I'm still learning it through Ruby and maybe Python (i badly need a mentor :( lol ). And yeah, this is one of the reasons why I still want to be a software engineer. Even though web design brightens up my day, still programming felt like coffee every morning. That's why ECC (Exist Code Camp) interests me a lot, even though my nose didn't stop bleeding, I still finished the exam, hehe.

After the mind bothering exam, we were invited by Mark at Draft Pick (at Jacinto extension, near that yellow bright Convenience store). I already forgot what Mark was talking about but I got this two minute video backed up (thanks to technology for letting me remember :P )

Deng and Jevica (I hope I got the right links) also talked about their experiences with G2iX. Diane of DevCon was also there. After that we had party! We had drinks! We had food! Here are the photos I took.

Quick Conclusion

Thanks to G2iX for all the JOY (because it's all free, haha) that day. And lastly, I'll gladly link these guys

By the way, where are the other techy dudes in Davao? I hope many will join these kind of social events next time ;D

When me and my friends were leaving Draft Pick and ready to pay our "Lunch" bills. The waitress said "Ayaw na lang Sir kay na compute na namo daan under G2iX". I said "Whoa!", and called Mark over the phone and said "Thanks again G2iX!", hehe.
