Firefox 3.5 beta4 - Extensions on the run!

It's been a lifeless week for me and a pop in my head boomed "Why not try Firefox 3.5?!". The hype is getting crazier when a major Firefox version comes out. But what's to get excited for a web designer/developer? Will my extensions work the same as they are? Well I'm not really into deep testing the new Firefox from the inside (the api). I just wanna take a look if all my extensions will work. And if they, well you're right, I'll push the big 'switch'. Let's get started! First download the beta. Then install it. Zoom zoom, don't worry there's nothing tricky in this part. Next is the extensions. Firebug
Lovely Firebug will most likely update to version 1.4.0 beta2. Now you can see the new look of the icons. Hey be sure to try that 'Inspect' feature, coz the icon is kinda daunting for me, hehe. But it all works fine. Web Developer
The same as before, nothing changed though. One thing I noticed is the speed, maybe this is because of the new Javascript Engine that Firefox uses. Better Greader
These are all working fine. One thing I noticed is the favicons of my feeds on Greader are now enabled. I don't know why it doesn't show up in Firefox version 3. I'm glad it shows up now and hey it's much much faster using all Google based apps. Others
  • Gmail Notifier
  • Better Gmail 2
  • Remember The Milk for Gmail
  • Download Statusbar
  • Fission
  • Tabs Open Relative
  • Xmarks
  • Tiny Menu
  • Adblock Plus
  • Flashblock
  • Fast Dial
These extensions are working flawlessly as for my short tests. Everything in the beta worked out the way it should be. As of now, I'll be working with this browser. It feels stable and I never experienced any crashes so far. Yeah! I highly recommend everyone to use this beta. Oh did you like this post? Subscribe now for free!
