Tie a Yellow Ribbon for Cory Aquino

Yesterday and the other day I visited some major hangouts here in Davao and all I noticed was most of them have yellow ribbons tied everywhere. So as to say all Filipinos are mourning because of the death of President Cory Aquino. There I thought, why not make a yellow ribbon attached in my brand new template. Yes! That's the yellow thing in the header. This blog's header was designed to be dynamic (interchangeable and replaceable) so I can change the look of the header anytime I want. This is the first time that I showed how flexible my design is. Here's some screen-shots for those reading through my feeds:

The yellow ribbon was inspired by bloggers I found by Googling. Here's the full post:

My fellow bloggers, I invite you to Touch a blogger: Tie a yellow ribbon for Cory Aquino! Very simply:
1. Create an entry entitled: “Touch a blogger: Tie a yellow ribbon for Cory Aquino!“. A link to this original entry will be appreciated, but is not required.
2. Post a yellow ribbon in your blog for President Cory Aquino. Whatever form of yellow ribbon that your creative imagination can come up with.
3. Invite other bloggers to tie a yellow ribbon for Cory. President Cory Aquino has done a lot for us Filipinos. She’s suffered more than enough.
I might not agree with some of the things that she has done but that is beside the point. My respect is unconditional and I will thank this great woman for the biggest and most valuable gift that she has given us Filipinos – giving back our freedom and liberty. And as a blogger, there is not much that I can do, other than offer prayers for Cory Aquino. With this, let’s show our love and respect for Cory through our blogs and I invite all the writers of Barrio Siete, readers and commenters to Tie a yellow ribbon for Cory Aquino! Thank you! ~La Kapitana~

Other than posting these kinds of banners/emblems in the sidebar which makes everything so crowded, I chose to meld it with the header. In this way I'm making it as clean as possible. What do you think?
