Happy New Year! Yeah I know, it's been a month since my last post here. And yeah! I just got a gift last Christmas. It was a new and reliable hosting! I searched on every hosting providers out there. There are so many to choose from, some are giving away Unlimited, Unlimited, Unlimited, Unlimited what ever. And for my final decision I finally resided at Solid Internet. In shifting all my Wordpress blogs, everything went well so far. From importing my databases up to running the latest Wordpress 2.7. Version 2.7 of Wordpress is a big thing on it's own history. What really made it so special is the User Interface. Just as someone (I can't remember who the person is, hehe) says

Design is not how it looks. It is how it works.

When I first tried the new user interface, that was when I finished upgrading BlenderPH. It was really neat and fast. An author can now make a quick post in the dashboard and replying to the latest comment is now a click away. Blog stats can also be seen in the dashboard. Installation of plugins was made much more easier with the direct download from Wordpress.org. As for the this site and my other blogs. One change I was wanting was the permalink structure. In my past host, I was using the "index.php", for example ragingfx.com/index.php/2008/11/organize-yourself-with-remember-the-milk/ but now I can use ragingfx.com/2008-11/organize-yourself-with-remember-the-milk/ Not using "index.php" in a site's URL felt much more readable, well in my case. The whole export, import, cross-fingers, upgrade, was a success! Now I'll go on update other minor sites I'm holding. ^_^
